Enjoy my Free Famous Kale Chips Recipe!
This recipe became famous around 2012 when I first started making them. I use to send bags of these to work with my husband when he worked in a busy Emergency Room. The Nurses never got breaks or lunch so this was my way of letting have something healthy he could grab and go. Well the Kale Chips went over so well that all the staff, Doctors and Nurse Practitioners ate the other bags up!! I could not make enough of these for them. To make it even better my husband and his male friends all Loved them. You would have to know my husband (who covets junk food) to know this is astonishing!! Since then I have been giving out the recipe left and right! So enjoy this free recipe! This is one of the ways I am addressing aging this month also! You can replace your junk food with some of these and trick them into eating something healthy and delicious. I usually get the kale when it goes on sale and make a huge batch of these and put in large zip locks. You don't have to worry about shelf life . (they don't last that long)! to find out!

Kale Chip Recipe
Wash and dry Kale about two Bundles
Tear into bite sized pieces
In a bowl Mix the following:
Two cups of organic cashew butter
One cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice
two cups water
1/2 cup nutritional yeast flakes (you can get these at good foods co-op in the bulk food section)
Spices:
One tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 tsp dried tarragon
1/2 tsp dried whole thyme
Mix Well
Fold in the bite sized pieces of kale and toss coating lightly with the mixture
Spread out on Dehydrator and dry for 48 hours (this will make them crispy)
You can vary the spices to make them hot, Italian flavor by using oregano instead of tarragon. You can use dehydrated cheese in the mixture, or Mexican flavored by using lime juice instead of lemon juice and chili powder.
If you don't have a dehydrator you can place them on a greased cookie sheet in the oven at 175 degrees for approximately 2 hours. This time will vary based on your oven , so just keep an eye on them and take them out when they get crisp.
